Two Awkward Pictures From The Last Day Of School.

Hey, so you know that feeling you get when you see a picture of a baby ocelot? When you just want to laugh and cry and jump up and down and scream and curl up into a ball and die because it is just SO CUTE? But in reality, all you do is yell: "OHHHMYYYYGOOOSSSHHLOOKITISSOOOOOOOOOCUUUUTE!!"  No? That's just me? Oh. Well, that's how I feel about David Archuleta. And this song. If that makes any sense at all...

Also, It was 84 degrees today. Holla!

Also, I leave for Amsterdam in EIGHT days.

Also, Also, Softball is tonight. I love me some softball.

hahaha

no really.
this made me laugh sooooo hard.

Herbie The Love Bug

Meet Cassidy.
Cassidy is my shopping idol.
Seriously, she finds the most beautiful things for the cheepest prices!
One time, Cassidy walked into Sunday school wearing a STUNNING pink dress.
"ohhhh myyyy gooossshh. Cassidy! Where in the world did you get this stunning dress?" I asked.
"Oh, The Goodwill," She said. "It was only six dollars."
.............
Do you see what I mean? She is amazing.
So one day, we planed a Goodwill shopping extravaganza. She was going to teach me her ways, and I was going to buy a whole new wardrobe for dirt cheep.
At least, that's what I imagined.
But when we got to Goodwill, there was nothing there but a bunch of pit stained wife beaters and mumus.
It was sad, to say the least.
Then, we went to dollar tree. Because, really. Why not go to dollar tree?
And the lady there was really mean.
It was starting to get late, and I was starting to get depressed.
As my mom was driving us home, I came up with a great idea:
McDonald's ice cream.
Their vanilla cones dipped in chocolate? ohhhh dang.
So she took us, and as we pulled into the parking lot, we saw this beauty:

and then my life was complete.

You may not believe this, but...

(this picture has nothing to do with the story...)

On Wednesday, I went Repelling AKA: rock climbing but backwards AKA: the scariest thing I have ever done in my life.

You see, I am deathly afraid of heights. Always have been, always will be. So last week at church, when they announced that the youth were going repelling, I said: "hahahaha. no."

But I kept getting asked about it! All throughout church that day, people were asking me if I was going. I told them all maybe, but in my mind I was set. There was no way I was going to jump off the back of a cliff. Do I look stupid?
But somehow, I got suckered into going. Maybe it’s because I'm a softy, and can’t stand saying no to people. Or maybe it’s because I knew that the cute new boy was going to be there. Or maybe it’s because I didn't want to seem like a wimp. Or maybe it’s because the new boy wears glasses and somewhat resembles Buddy Holly.

But whatever. The point is, I said I would go. So I went.

The ride there was about and hour long, but it seemed soooo much longer than that. And to make things even better, some boy sitting behind me touched my hair like a hundred times. Not cool.

I asked our driver how high the drop was.

"Oh, it’s only about 60 feet," he said. "Why? Are you scared of heights?"

I just about had a heart attack.

"Only a little bit." I lied.

When we got there, they asked who wanted to go first.

"CasiDee does!!" said the boy next to me. I hate boys.

"noooooooooooo I don't." I said.

"Come on CasiDee! It's not that bad!" said a different boy. Did I mention that I hate boys?

I refused to go first. But somehow, I got suckered (do you see a theme happening here?) into going second.

So, basically, long story short: It was my turn, I went, about half way through I thought to myself: "Hey! This isn't that bad!" and then I became boss at repelling down walls. I was basically as awesome as Spiderman.

And then I felt like a nerd, because I could have sworn I was going to die that day, and it turned out to be kinda…fun.
But then one of the other boys cried when it was his turn. So I felt a lot better.

After the repelling, we went to some Chinese food place and watched So You Think You Can Dance as we ate our orange chicken.

The End.
Moral of the Story: I conquered my fear of heights on the first day of summer. If that’s not a sign of an awesome summer, I don’t know what is.

(Pictures coming soon!!)

I've Got Purple Legs

(Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger outlet, Skirt: Guess outlet, Tights: J.Crew, Shoes: Style&Co)

Awkward: -I was asked to lead the music at a baptism on Saturday and I said yes, even though I don't know how to lead music. I just kinda stood up there and waved my arm around and pretended like I knew what I was doing.

-Before I explain this awkward, you should know two things. One: I played softball for the first time in a year just a few days ago…and now my body hurts sooooo bad. And two: I have this crazy Spanish teacher that is bald and likes to dance and wears the same shirt but in different colors every day. Okay, onward.
So, Yesterday, I walked into my Spanish class and all of the tables and chairs were gone. And my first thought was “cool, no Spanish today.” And then I was all like: “Nooooo, who am I kidding? With my luck, we are probably doing some dumb line dance or something.”
And guess what we did? A line dance. The dance included jumping up and down, running around in circles, and kicking our legs in the air. And we had to sing in Spanish while doing it. I was in so.much.pain.

-My Spanish teacher had these massive pit stains…it wasn’t pretty.

-One of my very best friends, Kristyn, is moving at the end of the school year, so she had a going away party at Skate world. As my friend and I were skating into the bathroom, I said: "Wow, I'm surprised that I haven't fallen yet!" And then guess what I did? I fell. In the bathroom. How GROSS is that?!? and to make things even better, there were toooons of people in there that saw. and they laughed at me.
-Sex Ed. Seriously, most awkward class ever.
Awesome: - THERE IS ONLY HALF A DAY LEFT OF SCHOOL. And I might skip it…
-Getting an A on my health final. I may or may not have started singing “sweet, sweet victory” :)
- This playlist. I seriously listen to it non-stop. I loooove the oldies.

-Church Softball!! It's so much fun!
-I love this cover of "First Day Of My Life" by: Bright Eyes and this cover of "Delicate" by: Damien Rice. She is so good!
-My dinosaur ring. It brings me good luck, so I wore it during my finals. Seriously guys? This thing is magical.

Love,
CasiDee
