THOUGHTS.

I am now 17 years of age. weird.
I am also the newest seminary class president.
I think it's just a ploy to get me to class on time. ;)

I'm a teen leader for the "My Future My Choice" program.
I go down to the local middle school and teach the 7th graders about abstaining from sex.
It's actually a TON of fun. (and a lot less awkward than I thought it would be).

I'm also a part of a middle school mentoring program.
I go down to the middle school twice a month and help teach an "intro to high school" class.
Those kids are the greatest.
(but whenever i spend time with them i cant help but think, "was i really that small?!")

I am obsessed with this song right now.

& I can't wait to see this documentary.

I've been spending a ridiculous amount of money on concert tickets lately.
Hey Vampire Weekend, Blind Pilot, and Fun.! I can't wait to see you guys!

My dad got home from a business trip to Amsterdam last week.
& he brought stroopwafels, (unknowingly illegal) chocolate, and the worlds greatest cheese back with him.
I signed up for the Color Me Rad 5k.
I can soon cross "run a 5k" & "participate in the color run" off my bucket list!

People keep telling me I look like Lana Del Rey and Natalie Portman.
Uhm, WOAH those are like my two biggest girl crushes.
So shaaanks.

Senior year is going to be the best.
1 history class, 1 art-based English, AP photography, 2 other art courses, and 2 early releases.
4.0 here I come. ;)

"CasiDee, have you been working out your glutes?!"

"You're like, the classiest person I know. HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN LE MIZ?!"

I shouldn't be allowed to blog at this time of night.
Sorry for the nonesense.

A POST ABOUT CHRISTMAS EVEN THOUGH IT'S FEBRUARY 18TH.

First things first: I went to a post-christmas party hosted by my favorite ginger there in the middle.

Such a ladies-man, that Jacob Nissinen.

B opened up his white elephant gift and, to his (very happy) suprise, found a little pink vicky's box. Little did he know what was inside (Okay i'll tell you. It was a three stooges lunch box filled with every creepy ceramic baby and clown goodwill had to offer.) Yes, I was the mastermind behind that gift. And yes, I am still laughing about it. // Josh got a cupcake maker and Trevor got a fairy lunch box. Oh, how i love white elephant exchanges. ;)

 Triplets.

The two classiest girls I know, obviously.

But really though, I love these girls!

And now onto our yearly neighborhood christmas party:

 In which we got waaaaiiisted.

No, I'm totally kidding. It's apple cider. I swear.

Not sure what santa was drinking, though.

yay for christmas in february!

MY LITTLE BROTHER IS QUITE THE SUPERSTAR.

Just slightly jealous that his not-even-a-full-year of piano lessons has already trumped my 7 years of piano lessons.
Tis' the life when you have a 12 year old brother with the IQ of Einstein. ;)

I'VE GOT SOUL BUT I'M NOT A SOLIDER.

Once upon a time, I was sitting in english class when i get a text message from my mom. The text message said this: "THE KILLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE GOT THE TICKETS!!!!!!!!!"
You dont even know how hard it was for me to not jump up out of my seat and run out of the classroom. We won tickets to the killers!

And did you know that Brandon Flowers is the most adorable human being to ever live? It's true. I mean, just look at this face:

But let's back up a little bit. M83 opened up, and don't even get me started. THEY KILLED IT. Hands down the best opening act I've ever seen. They were crazy! Running and jumping around, throwing their guitars; they even opened up with some guy coming out in a pig mask with lazer beam eyes...? Yeah, it was basically the weirdest yet best opening act ever. Also: the lead singer? BABE.

Thank goodness we got to sit up in the Nike box seats. We successfully avoided the mosh pits and crowds and instead pigged out on salsa the entire night.
And did I mention how adorable Brando Flowers is?

The show was amazing. I loved how much was put into the whole show-the lights, the video clips playing in the background, it was just all so much fun! Very different than the acoustic sets I usually go to. ;)
The Killers definitely made it in my top 10 concerts!

WELCOME TO FINALS WEEK, MY FRIENDS.
